Salter, D. Todd — 46, of Three Mile Plains, Hants County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at home. Born, Dwight Todd Salter on September 29, 1964, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, he is the son of Mildred (Schofield) Salter, Three Mile Plains and the late Clayton Murray Salter (2003). Todd was a carpenter by trade, working with his brother Kelly for 27 years. He loved his work, family, and especially his little niece, Rachel. Besides his mother, Mildred, Todd is survived by his brothers, Vance, Windsor; Greg (Kim), Martock; Kelly (Kathleen), Falmouth; sister, Sonya, Three Mile Plains; nieces, Rachel Salter, Becky (Derek) Stapleton; nephew, Mitchell Salter (Stephanie); also step-nephews, Robert, Shane, Darren and Richard Stapleton. Besides his father, Clayton Murray Salter (2003); he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Florence (Atwell) Schofield; paternal grandparents, Murray and Aletha (Barkhouse) Salter; and several uncles. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 8, in Lindsay`s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Gibson and Kym Burke-Cole officiated, followed by a reception in the Lindsay Family Reception Centre, 184 King Street. A family interment was held in Maplewood Cemetery, King Street, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Todd were requested to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
