It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Byrne announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Thursday, June 8th, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Leaving with fond and loving memories are his two sons Stephen (Acethia) of Mount Pearl, Jamie (Lori Ann) of St. Johns, sister Rita of Tilton, special friend Marguerite Sutton of Stephenville, his four grandchildren Alexander, Jayden, Chelsea, Jacob and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Frances, parents William and Amelia Byrne, his brothers and sisters Raymond, Lawrence, Leo, Loretta, Helen and Mary. Visitation will take place at Russell's Funeral Home Stephenville on Sunday, June 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will take place at St. Stephen's Parish on Monday, June 12th at 10 A.M with interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway, Stephenville. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
