Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Thursday, April 7th, 2011, George Robert Clements of Grand Bank, age 78 years. Predeceased by Mother & Father John & Maggie Clements; Brothers, Charles(Phyllis), Arthur(Barbara),and Mother & Father-in-law Thomas & Frances Hickey; Gerald King and Earl Hickey. Leaving to mourn: Wife Catherine; Sons Bob(Sharon) at Grand Bank; Jamie at St. John's; One Grandson, Gregory Clements; Brothers: Fred(Jean) at Grand Bank; Cec(Marilyn) at St. John's; Sister: Dorothy Prosser at Grand Bank. Sisters-in-law Philomena Rideout(Andrew) at Terrenceville; Francis King at Brooks, Alberta; Lucy Hickey at Terrenceville; Marie Hickey(Gerald) at Terrenceville; Brothers-in-law: Tom Hickey(Gertie) at Harbour Breton; Peter Hickey(Margie) at Terrenceville; Joe Hickey(Minnie) at Terrenceville; Jim Hickey(Holly) at Terrenceville; and Michael Hickey at Terrenceville. Also a circle of neices, nephews and friends.Funeral service was coducted by Majors Lyndon & Lisa Hale from the Salvation Army Grand Bank at 2pm on Sunday,April 10th.Interment took place at the Salvation Army Cemetery Grand Bank.Music was provided by the Salvation Army Band.Pall Bearers were Jamie Clements,Gregory Clements,Cecil Clements,Dennis Clements,Eli Matthews,& Kevin Burton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
