Peter H. Forbes of Upper Caverhill, NB passed away peacefully on April 11, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital with his family by his side. Peter was born in New Maryland, NB in 1932, a son of the late Alexander and Sarah (Burtt) Forbes. He is survived by his children, Louella Forbes, Upper Caverhill, NB and Lonnie Forbes (Cindy), Upper Caverhill, NB; his grandchildren, Ryan Forbes (Amanda), Dawn Forbes, Mark Forbes, Katelyn Forbes, Bradley Pugh, Erika Pugh and Mariah Pugh; a great granddaughter, Makayla Forbes; a sister, Bertie Hetherington, Chipman, NB; a brother, Hedley Forbes (Esther), Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his wife Maxine M. (Morgan) Forbes in 2009, a brother Robert Forbes and a sister, Dorothy Hetherington.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Blinn officiating. Interment will follow at Upper Caverhill Cemetery. Peter’s family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers, Sophia Lindsay, Janice McHatten, Gloria Hoekman and Wanda Allen for the outstanding care and attention given to him which enabled him to remain at home.
