Ruby Mary (Cochrane) Bouchie devoted wife for 39 years of Ronald Bouchie of Saint John passed away unexpectedly at home April 12, 2011. Ruby was a Pastry Chef and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for over 12 years retiring in 1980. She enjoyed country music, dancing, seek-a-word puzzles and scratch tickets. Besides her husband Ron, Ruby is survived by her son Daniel Barnaby (Joanna) of Ottawa, ON; daughters Carmen Pearce of Willow Grove and Step-daughter Janice Letson (George) of Saint John; five grandchildren Tanya, Michael, Scott, Neil and Cherise; three great-grandchildren Alexander, Lily Anne and Nolan; several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents Ruby was predeceased by her sister Lil.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
