Peacefully at Beach Grove Home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, of Mrs. Muriel E. DeLong (nee Monteith) of Charlottetown, age 86 years.
Beloved wife of the late Cecil A. DeLong, and dear mother of Judy (Leslie) Kilpatrick, Robert (Darlene), Tom (Linda), Ruth, and Al (Cindy). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Diana and Christopher DeLong, Michael, Shawn and Cherie DeLong, Duncan and Jack Sturz, Cale and Carley DeLong; two great-grandchildren, Jace and Ainsley; sister, Elaine (Martin) Murray of Woodstock, N.B.; brother, Lewis Monteith of Woodstock, N.B.; and special caregiver, Sandra Ellis.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Elva (Parker) Monteith; brother, Earl Monteith; and sister, Betty Smart.
Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Sherwood Cemetery.
If so desired, memorial donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to Island Nature Trust or Beach Grove Home.
