At the Halifax Infirmary on Monday, June 19, 2017 of Harold Francis MacQuarrie, North Winsloe, age 77 years. Beloved husband of Hilda (Chappell). Dear father of Gail MacEachern (Gordie), and father-in-law of Charlene MacQuarrie. Loving grandfather of Ryan MacQuarrie, Stephen MacQuarrie, Rachel Smith (Glen), and Kyle MacEachern. “Old Grampie” is lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren Cameron and Taylor. Survived by his sisters, Sophie MacLeod (Joe, deceased), Lorraine Wheatley (William, deceased), Gracie Rogers (Richard, deceased) and Inez Smith (Parker, deceased) sister-in-law, Florence MacQuarrie (Raymond, deceased) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sons, Leigh MacQuarrie and W. Bruce MacQuarrie, parents, Bruce and Mary Ann (Daye) MacQuarrie; brothers David, Charles (Minnie Pearl), Walter (Jessie), Chris, Sheldon, and Roland, and sisters, Inez (infant sister) and Mary Ellen Farish (Emmett). Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in West Covehead Cemetery.
