It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nora T. Griffin announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Daniel, Bernard (Sharon), Jim (Kim), Mike (Joan), Paul (Brenda), Clara (Jack Joyce), Mary Joe (Bill Perrett), Elizabeth (Garry Maxwell), Veronica (Allan Simms) and Sheila; 31 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Griffin (1973); parents James and Frances Wells; sons-in-law: Cleve Best and Augustus Payne; sisters: Mary Greene and Mercedes Anthony (James) and brother William Wells. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 23rd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue, with Father Ed Terry officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations are graciously accepted to the Diabetes Association.
