Jim passed away unexpectedly and peacefully while sleeping at home in Ottawa.

Jim was born on Old Orchard, NDG. With his wife of 61 years, Edna Dare, they happily raised 5 children and lived on the Lakeshore, Anderson’s Corners on the Gore Road, Huntingdon and Ontario.

Jim worked 37 years as a surveyor, field job manager and draftsman for Geocon and SNC Lavalin. Jim was also in the Black Watch and Royal Montreal Regiment for 17 years retiring a Major and Company Commander. Always a gentleman. He will be sorely missed.
Jim was an adored father to Robert, Barbara, David (Roberta), Donna (Obbe) and daughter-in-law Lyne. Predeceased by his son Steve, parents Hazel and Walter, older brother George and his beloved wife Edna.

Memorial service 1:30 Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Iroquois Point Cemetery (Locks), Ontario. In event of rain, service at St. John’s Anglican, 41 Lakeview, Iroquois. Refreshments will follow at the Iroquois Legion, 24 Dundas St., Iroquois.
