Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. L. A. Miller Centre on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Sparkes; and her brother Tommy. Leaving to mourn her loving spouse Richard Ivey; loving daughter Alana; 2 grandchildren: Madison and Samantha; sisters: Claire (John), and Carol (Don); parents-in-law Sam and Violet Ivey; brother-in-law Scott (Michelle); sisters-in-law: Lori (Lucius), and Margie; 2 nephews: Brady and Jacob Ivey; good friends Bonnie Seymour and Linda Youden; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Friday, July 7th,from 7:00pm - 9:00pm; and on Saturday, July 8th, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. Funeral service to be held at Barrett's Chapel on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment at later date.
