Passed peacefully away at Glen Brook Lodge, St. John's, NL on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at age 85 years. He is now reunited with his daughter Elizabeth (Blinder), and his parents Spurgeon and Nettie (Tower) of Amherst, Nova Scotia. Leaving behind to celebrate his life is his loving and dedicated wife of sixty three years, Molly (Steeves); his cherished children David (Sheila), Jo-Ann (David), Lori (Russell), and Jeff (Cindy); his grandchildren Brent, Amy, Lynn, Nathan, Joshua, Jonathan, Rachel, David, Joseph, Ben, Jeremy, Danny, Jordan, Sam, Micah, Charity, Victoria, and Angelina; great-grandchildren Michael, Katie, Megan, Daniel, Bryson, Murray, Jenna, Mackenzie, Sean, Whyatt, D.J., Emily, and Elijah; sisters, Eileen Alcorn, and Inez (Robert) Copp; son-in-law Chris Blinder; also leaving to mourn a large circle of extended family and friends. His gentle, quiet spirit and strong steadfast faith were a blessing to all. Visitation at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday July 13, 2017, from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Funeral Service to be held at First Baptist Church (Mt. Pearl) on Friday, July 14th, 2017, at 2:00pm. Internment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
