Passed away Wednesday April 13th, 2011 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center Julia Burden at the age of 91. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons: Hedley, Clyde (Minnie), Bryce (Marjorie); 4 daughters Gloria Mitchell (Byron), Sylvia Power (Iven), Barbara Perry, and Dale; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother Wilson Burton, sister-in-law Hannah Burton and a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, April 1, 2004, son-in-law Don Perry, brothers Wilfred, Victor, Cater, Peter, and Charles, sisters Mercedes & Marjorie. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 15th at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Curling Street Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating, with interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Thursday between the hours 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Memorial United Church.
