Our loving Mom passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by her husband Rev. Alex (December 20,2002); five brothers and sisters. Remembering her with love are her devoted family, son: Ed (Marion) of Springdale; daughter: Patricia Kean (Bill) of St. John’s; sister: Violet Saint of St. John\'s; brother: Douglas Penney of St. Anthony; six loving grandchildren: Michelle Funk (Sean), Kathy Bixby (Rod), Jennifer Smith, Robbie Smith, Penni Kean, Jacquie Kean (Carmalita); great-grandchildren: Alex, Ben and Timmy Funk and Samantha, Robyn and Nicholas Bixby and Kegan Klasseh; sisters-in-law: Cassie Penney of St. Anthony, Vera Penney of Centreville, Olive Smith of Stephenville; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, August 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Wednesday, August 5th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
