Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on August 2, 2009, Mary Ellen White, aged 80 years. Predeceased by her parents Florence (Murphy) Dooley, March 24, 1998 and James Dooley, September 12, 1984; husband Milton Maxwell White, August 21, 2002; daughters: Florence White (Stundon), August 27, 2002 and Lorraine White (Rowsell), May 31, 2007; sister Maureen Dooley, March 8, 1998; brother James Dooley, April 8, 2005; grandson Shawn Charles Ivey, February 10, 2009. Leaving to mourn sons: Wayne (Sheila) White, Edward (Marg) White, Richard White and Derrick (Lon) White; daughters: Sandra White, Carol and Kevin Reid, Diane Ivey, Debbie and Gene Burke; thirteen brothers and sisters; twenty-two grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; lots of friends, sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins. A special thank you to her daughter Debbie who looked after her at home for five years and a special thank you to the staff and doctors at St. Patrick\'s Mercy Home who made her part of their family for the past six years. Cremation has taken place. Resting at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Elizabeth Ave. (Second Floor) on Friday, August 7, 2009, 12 noon - 2 p.m. Funeral Service to take place Friday, August 7th at 2 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
