MacEACHERN, Rannell “Michael” - 64, Truro, son of the late Catherine “Mae” MacEachern, passed away in the early morning of July 30, 2017. Michael's quiet, easy-going personality helped him cope with adversity. Suffering a head injury in a car accident in 1980 forced Michael to learn to walk and talk again. The loss of his mother in 1995 was devastating, but he managed to live independently, in his own home, until March of this year when he entered nursing care. Michael was very knowledgeable and passionate about sports, especially baseball and hockey. We relied on his excellent memory for family statistics, historical facts, and anything related to sports. He will be remembered with love by his sister, Elva; brother-in-law, Peter Townsend; aunt, Carol McCallum; many cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, August 4, 2017, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro, Father James O’Connor officiating. Reception will follow in Campbell Hall. Interment in St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Londonderry. Family flowers only.
