Schiffner: Lawrence Raymond Schiffner age 77, was born on February 26, 1934 and passed away April 13, 2011 at the Palliser Regional Care Centre. Lawrence was predeceased by his parents Bertie (2008) and Wellesley Johnston (1991). He is survived by his brothers Calvin and Ken (Dar) and sister Carol (Gary) Overli and nieces Christie (Richie) Bouthillier and family, Cherise (Darren) Antonio and family Carlee (Timo) Annala and family and many relatives. Lawrence grew up in Swift Current and moved to Calgary where he worked for the City of Calgary for many years. When he lived in Calgary he met and married Rowena, with her four children Bob, Colleen, Glen and Wendy. Lawrence and Rowena divorced after her four children were grown. Lawrence returned to Swift Current in sorrow. Lawrence was very kind and loved people, he had a good sense of humor and enjoyed the outdoors, watching T.V. and country and western music. Lawrence accepted the Lord as his savior while living in Swift Current. Thanks to everyone who took good care of Lawrence through out his lifetime.
