Passed peacefully away on Tuesday August 4th, 2009 at the Interfaith Home, Corner Brook, Evangeline Darby at the age of 90. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Raymond Darby, sisters: Gertrude Spence (Lyman), Yvette Biggin (Melvin), Ellen Hlebik, niece Sheila Billiard (Arene), grandchildren Joshua, Kate & Alissa and very good friend Bernice Woodrow, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews other relatives and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roland, daughter Donna, sons: Wayne & Brian, sister Rita Rumbolt and brother Clement Cadet. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Ave. Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday August 6th at 10:00 a.m. from The Cathedral of The Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue Father Ambrose Hynes officiating, followed by the interment in the family plot at Townsite Cemetery.
