Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, Lily Piercey, age 86 years. Predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Roland; mother and father Allen and Dorcas Hudson; sisters: Ena, Eliza, Olive, Viola, Marion and Genevieve; brother Melbourne; son-in-law Thomas Nelson; sisters-in-law Bernice Hudson and Jemima Hudson; special friends Mary Ryan and Millicent Vandersteen. Leaving to mourn, daughters Pauline Webster (Clyde) (St. John's) and Karen Nelson (Glen) (Kelligrews); and son Kevin (Peggy) (Mount Carmel); also leaving to mourn, six grandchildren: Shawn, Chad, Danielle, Corey, Thomas and Trevor; great-granddaughter Lexi Lynn; brother Herbert; special friend Phyllis Normore; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, August 10, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday, August 11, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11 am, with interment to follow at the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
