Campbell ‘Camie’ Carmichael, 60, of West Side Middle River, passed away peacefully Aug. 3, 2009, at Victoria County Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
Born July 17, 1949, he was a son of the late Hector and Euphemia (Buchanan) of Baddeck. He was a labourer, driving dozers, working at the mill and Baddeck landfill.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Musgrave); children, Charles and Kim, Halifax; Bonnie, North Sydney; Heather, Calgary; Jackie and Wendy, Plaster Mines; Sarah, Baddeck; Margie and Danny, Wagmatcook and grandson, Jack. Also two brothers, George and Emily, Middle River and Hector ‘Heckie’ and Jean of Baddeck; and one niece, Jony Carmichael.
Visitation at MacAskill Funeral Home, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held 2p.m. Friday in the Farquharson Memorial Church, Middle River with Rev. Cameron Brett officiating. Burial in Middle River Cemetery.
