Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Friday, August 18, 2017 of Leo B. Rooney of Charlottetown, age 70 years. Dear father of Connie (Jason) Macdonald, Lee (Shehla) Rooney and their mother, Louise Rooney, Randy Holmes, Mark (Heather) Holmes and their mother, Lona Ryan. He is also survived by seven loving grandchildren Emma, Abby, Sophie, Gabriel, Lila, Alex and Abbigale; step-daughter, Tanya (Steve) Vaive and their children Kyler and Schaeffer; his brother, Kenny (Marion) Rooney, sisters-in-law Imelda Rooney, Joyce Rooney and Gloria Walton. He was predeceased by his wife Lorraine (nee Gallant) Rooney; parents, William and Mary (nee Murphy) Rooney; brothers and sisters, Joseph, Frances (Louis) MacKenzie, Alban, Eugene (Florence), James Rooney and infants Eileen and Phillip. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Joachim’s Church Cemetery, Vernon River.
