1941 - 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Owen Young announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on August 16th, 2017, at the age of 76. He is predeceased by his father Ernest, mother Sarah (Peyton), and son Michael (1987). Left with loving memories are his wife Ann (Gill), son Robert (Katherine) of Grand Falls-Windsor, and daughter Denise (Ken Smiley) of New Minas. Also leaving to mourn are his sister Janet Evans (Bill), brother Roy (Pam), and grandchildren Laura, Julie, Robecca, Owen, and Mary Claire. Owen had a large circle of family and friends. Reverend Randy Lockyer conducted the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Friday, August 18th. Pallbearers were Robert Young, Ken Smiley, Roy Young, Wayne King, Ron Power, and Tim Froude. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Young, John Henderson, and Winston Hollett.
