Passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Saint Luke's Homes, Kathleen Goldsworthy (nee Smith), age 95 years. Predeceased by her parents T. Malcolm and Emma Smith; husband Canon W.K.L. Goldsworthy; sister Miriam (Levi) Peddle; brother Clyde (Alice Smith-Wiscombe); sister Rosalind Stokes (Cyril); brother Cecil Smith (Susan); sister Rita Parsons (Abel). Leaving to mourn sons: Michael (Judy), Brian (Linda), Keith (Cindy) and Paul; grandchildren: Leanne, Mark, Aaron, Shawn, Nicholas, Danielle, Stephen, Matthew; great-grandchildren: Luke, Carter, Kaylee, Dylan and Kali; brothers: Gerald Smith (Mary Short) of St. John's, Rex Smith (May) of Ontario and Oliver Smith of Ontario; sisters-in-law Bernice Smith of St. John's, Joan Smith of St. John's, Susan Smith of Bay Roberts; brother-in-law Ross Goldsworthy (Shirley) of Gander; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, August 24, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Friday, August 25, from 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place from The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2 pm with interment to follow at Forest Road Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
