It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winnifred Florence Crewe announce her passing on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 83 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Gerald; brother Burt Porter; brothers-in-law: Ray (Eileen), Ralph (Jane) and Tony (Liz); sisters-in-law: Margaret Joy, Judy (Kevin) Veitch, Patsy (Derek) Hollett and Peggy Welsh (Lloyd McCarthy); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Lemuel and Annie Porter; sister and brothers Minnie and Willie Porter, Bessie Porter-White, George, Cyril, Marjorie, Lemuel and Walter Porter; parents-in-law Donald and Dorothy Crewe; brothers-in-law Melvin, Roy and James Crewe. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena on Friday, August 25, 2017 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Wright officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
