16Violet Marshall, 89, of Sydney passed away peacefully Saturday, April 16, 2011, in the Cove Guest Home, where she resided for the past several years. She was formerly from Margaret Street, Sydney.
Born in 1922 in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Tucker.
She worked for many years at Vogue Theater as a cashier until her retirement in 1995.
Loving and caring mother of Marilyn (George) Peters, Mira, Norma (Angus) Lamont, Miramichi, N.B.; one son, David (Debbie), Sydney River; grandchildren, Scott and Lisa Peters, Christopher, Jason, Jonathan Lamont, Allan and Brittany Marshall; six great-grandchildren; her only brother, Walter (Marg) Tucker, Whitney Pier; and many nieces, nephews.
Violet was predeceased by her husband, Cyril Norman.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, April 20 at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Laura McCue officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Cove Guest Home ‘Creative Care and Skylight’ for the special care she received.
