The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, August 25, 2017, of Ellen Gallant, of Summerside, aged 86 years. Born in Urbanville, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (Cameron) McNally. Survived by her children Joseph, Albert (Kristin Landry), Edmond, Ronald (Patti) and Darlene (Thane) MacEwen; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and by a sister Inez Gallant. Predeceased by her husband Octave “O.J.” Gallant; daughters Carol Ann and Judy; and by a sister Lee Whalen. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside.
