Passed peacefully away after a brief illness in ICU at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 56. Predeceased by his father Kevin Whelan and his grandmother Clara "Mom" Crocker. Leaving to mourn his dedicated wife Reyanne Briand; daughter Ashley Pike (Corey); grandson Peyton; son Michael and their mother Lynn Quigley; daughter Sarah Simmonds, step-children Kiana, Jarrod, Mikaël and Yohaness. Also leaving to mourn his mother Lorraine Whelan; his brothers John (Christine), Kevin "Butch" (Becky), Darryl (Rosa Cooney) and Kirk (Mandy); special uncle and best friend Wallace Crocker; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephew and large circle of friends. A special thank you to the ICU nurses and staff. At Michael request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday, August 27, 2017 and Monday, August 28, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. No flowers by request, donation maybe be made to a charity of one's choice.
