In Ottawa on Monday, August 21, 2017. Lucie McCormick (nee Paquette) of Moose Creek; age 78 years. Beloved wife of Basil McCormick. Loving mother of Jennifer Newey (Robin) of Ottawa and the late Brigid Wells (Joseph) of Cambridge. Cherished Nanny and babysitter of Katherine and Victoria. Survived by her sister Fernande Paquette of Montreal, by her nephews Yves Lebel (Suzanne Lapierre) and Luc Lebel (Maggie Costa, PhD) , and by her niece Sylvie Lebel and her 3 children. Dear daughter of the late Albert and Thérèse (nee Durivage) Paquette. Lucie had a love for gardening and dogs. She worked for Birk’s, in charge of the China Department. Arrangements under the care and direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Finnan’s Cathedral on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment St. Alexander’s Cemetery, Lochiel. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to Extendicare Starwood Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Lucie a tree will be planted in Memory Woods.
