Charles Joseph Kavalak - 64 of Lisgar Street, Springhill, passed away in CRHCC, Upper Nappan, on Monday, August 3, 2009. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late John and Edna May (Ryan) Kavalak.



During his early years, Charlie served 3 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. He later returned to Springhill, worked as a plumber eventually owning and operating his own plumbing business.



He will be sadly missed by his son, Joseph "Joey" Kavalak, Springhill; brothers, Norman (Faye) and Tom (Judy) Kavalak both of Springhill; sister, Audrey (Dale) McLeod, Bible Hill, NS; several nieces and nephews.



Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, NS, (902 597 2361). Memorial Service was held from the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 3 pm, with The Reverend Marilyn Haugen-Strand officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
