At the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Friday, April 15, 2011, of George (James) McConnell of Georgetown, age 86 years.
Son of the late James and Eileen McConnell. Dear brother of Jean Pace, Halifax. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Eileen MacKenzie, Beth Gallagher, and brothers, Charles and Harry.
Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in the St. David’s United Church Cemetery.
Visitation Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
If so desired, memorials to St. David’s United Church Cemetery Fund or to the Three Rivers Sportsplex would be appreciated.
The Royal Canadian Legion, Cardigan Branch #19, will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. All comrades asked to attend.
