Dion – Jessie passed away on April 15, 2011 at the age of 83, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Jessie is lovingly remembered by her family: her son Brian Simpson of Strathmore, AB; her daughter Karen (Orene) Nyuli of Prince Albert; grandchildren Thea (Jordan) Sawchuk of Prince Albert and Dana Myhr of Dawson Creek, BC and her great grandson Kwill Joseph Grace. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Joseph “Joe” Dion; her parents John and Catherine Campbell and her brothers Murray and Ian Campbell. Jessie worked at the Holy Family Hospital for 28 years retiring in 1992. Jessie was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary where she shared fond memories of dart and shuffleboard tournaments with her many friends even after losing her sight to Age Macular Degeneration. Celebration of Jessie’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Wesley United Church, 65 – 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Tony Thompson officiating. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens – Garden of the Last Supper. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorial donations may do so to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2, 133 – 8th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0V8.
