The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Sunday April 17, 2011 of Leo H. Doucette of Tignish aged 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Loretta (Richard) Doucette. Born in DeBlois on Nov. 24, 1919, son of the late Henry and Mary Anne (Perry) Doucette. Dear father to Julia (Clifford) Bernard, Tignish; Gilbert (Helen) Doucette, Charlottetown; Wilbert (Theresa) Doucette, Alberton; Florence/Nan (Alvin) Pitre, Tignish Shore and Deborah (John) Gaudet, Tignish.Loving grandfather to Ross Bernard, Loretta/Lulu Gallant, Franklyn, Aubrey and Sue Ann Pitre, Sheila Coughlin, Brian, Leo and Shane Doucette, Jake and Ryan Gaudet and great grandfather to 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is also survived by a sister Lorette Richard, St. Louis. He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Mary Anne, wife Loretta, sons Wilbert, Jimmie, Aubrey and Hector, daughter Thelma, brothers George, Freddie, Ernest, Edmond, Cyril, Alphie and Wilfred, sisters Louise and Josephine. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd. for visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 12-1:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday with funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Tignish Seniors Home Care Co-op would be greatly appreciated.
