Adrienne Marie Richard, 93, formerly of Saint John died at the Villa Providence Home, Shediac on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Born in St. Louis-de-Kent, N.B., August 24, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Frédéric Guimond and Exelda Richard. Avid seamstress and knitter, waitress, housekeeper, homemaker, most importantly a nurses assistant for many years. Before retirement, she worked at the Provincial Hospital in Saint John for approximatly 18 years. She devoted her life caring for family, friends and less fortunate. She is predeceased by her husband George Richard, several brothers: Gérard, Gedéon, Aurèle and sisters: Merita, Alice and Rita. She will be sadly missed by her only son Gerry "Scary" (Mary-Ann Goguen) and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no viewing upon her request. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Assumption Church, Dufferin Row, Saint John West at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
