STEINGART, Doris (nee Calder) ­ Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Linhaven Home in St. Catharines. Doris was predeceased by her husband Aron Steingart (1994). Mother of Ruth (Mike) Hoekstra; stepmother of Henry (Terri) Steingart, Raymond (Sandy) Steingart, Christine (Henry) Becker and Evelyn (Dennis) Chornomaz. Loving grandmother of Darlene, Mathew, Dan, Barb, Joshua, Jason, Courtney and Lucas. Special sister and Aunt to Ruth, Doris, Janet and John. Doris was a fun-filled friend to many and will be dearly remembered. She always enjoyed being the life of the party.
The family expresses their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Linhaven for all their care and compassion. You pampered Mom and treated her like a Queen.
The family will receive friends at the Vineland Chapel of the Tallman Funeral Homes on Friday 2pm- 4pm and 7pm ­ 8:30pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Tallman Chapel on Saturday, June 13th at 2pm, after which friends and family are invited to go for a get-together and meal. Family interment Monday at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines. If you wish to make a memorial donation, the Humane Society or Salvation Army would be suitable recipients.
