Formerly of Newtown, Bonavista Bay, passed away peacefully at his residence in St. John’s on April 16, 2011, aged 85. Predeceased by his parents Emanual and Caroline. Leaving to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Joan (Noseworthy); three sons: Derrick, Ernie (Denise) and Warren; two sisters: Verna (Baxter Howse) and Marina (Edgar David Adams - deceased). Wilf will be tenderly missed by his four grandchildren: Craig (Dana), Steven (Min-jeong), Lindsay and Stephanie; two great-grandsons: Kyle and Matthew; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday, April 21st from 7-9 p.m., Friday, April 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and April 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.. Service to follow at Barrett’s chapel at 2 p.m. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wilf’s memory to Ronald McDonald House, Health Care Foundation - Gift from the Heart Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice.
