Died peacefully on September 7, 2017 with her family at her side, in a room filled with love, music, tears, flowers and Guinness.
Arlene was the eldest child born to Kay and Jim Hicks, longtime residents of Gibsons. Arlene was born in Vancouver but spent her childhood and early adult years in Gibsons before moving away to live in and to explore many locations around the world with her husband and five children.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 64 years Ronald; her children, Randall, Richard, Janice, Rodney and Jodi; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her younger siblings Ted and Colleen; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews; and many dear friends, lifelong and recent.
