Passed peacefully away on Sunday, April 17 2011, at Meadow Creek Retirement Centre, Topsail Road, the place she dearly loved and called home for the past 6 years. Formerly of Freshwater, Bell Island, Alfreda Parsons was in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband, Gordon. Left with many cherished memories: three daughters: Norma (Wallace) Vokey, Doris Noseworthy (Brian), Phyllis Brisee, and one son Barry (Eileen) Parsons, one sister Louise Bickford, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and special friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, April 19 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., and at Pendergast’s Funeral Home (Bell Island) on Wednesday, April 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the United Church on Bell Island at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2011, with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Lance Cove (Bell Island).
