The passing of Frances “Jean” Grant of Fredericton, NB, wife of Michael Storey, occurred on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 1, 1935 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Georgie (Hutchinson) Thorne. Jean was a member of the Crosspoint Wesleyan Church. In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by her son, Donald (Susan) Grant of Lock Haven, PA; daughters, Linda Grant of Fredericton, NB and Ruth Everett of Lower Brighton, NB; ten grandchildren, Sheena (Chris) Myers, Shane, Samara and Samuel Grant, Tommy, Donny and Billy Everett, Misty, Michael and Michelle Lyons; four great grandchildren, Chiara, Faith, Shaymis and Cameron; brother, Harold (Brenda) Thorne of North Carolina; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Eugene “Mike” Grant and son, Edward Paul Grant.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm. Visitation will take place at Crosspoint Wesleyan Church on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 10 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Lona Johnson officiating and Rev. Conard Symonds assisting, following the service interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John, NB.
