Higgins, Victor Solomon – 64, Debert, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on April 17, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Folly Mountain, he was a son of the late Austin and Rosella (McMillan) Higgins. Victor worked as a truck driver, auto body technician and painter. He was retired and enjoyed the simple life and nature that surrounded him. He is survived by his soul-mate, Angie; daughter, Tina Higgins, Prince George, B.C.; sons, Victor and Timmy, both of B.C., Torry, Halifax; sisters, Georgina, Inez, June, Susan, Betty, Patsy, Anna, Karen; brothers, Ross, Douglas, Gerald; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Pollyanna; brother, Murray. No visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 21 at 11:00 am in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. A reception will follow the service at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 106, Debert. Flowers welcome. Donations in his memory may be made to the SPCA.
