George Dort passed away at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex on Tuesday, April 19, 2011.
A native of Guysborough, George was the son of the late Harriett and Levi Dort.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (MacAulay); son, John (Carrie); brother-in-law, John MacAulay; sister-in law, Virginia Grady (Robert) and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by loving daughter, Pamela and sister-in-law, Margaret MacAulay.
George was the last surviving member of his family.
There will be no visitation.
