Ian Douglas Welch
September 26, 1958 –August 23, 2017
Committal service for the late Ian Douglas Welch, 58, of Springhill and formerly of Amherst, Nova Scotia was held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 under the direction of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford, Nova Scotia. Ian passed away on Wednesday, August 23rd following a heart attack on August 19.
The son of the late Lorne Pryor and Hilda Mae (Green) Welch he is survived by his devoted partner and best friend, Don Tabor, Springhill and many extended family members.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Bonnie MacNeil, RN; EMS, Drs. Karavaliel, Short and Rubio-Reyes and the wonderful nursing staff at CRHCC for the excellent care given to Ian during his brief illness. A special thank you as well to Andrew, Leta and the staff at MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home for their kindness and professionalism during this very difficult time.
