RAY BELL
Date de décès : 18 avril 2011
On April 18, 2011, Ray Bell of Baildon, lost his battle with depression. A cherished teacher to many for 31 years in Moose Jaw Public, Ray’s diverse interests included being a poet, cartoonist, Rider and Blue Jay fan, eccentric item collector and he was an avid coffee companion. Despite his retirement, Ray was still often seen in the hallways of the schools. He was very active in his children’s sports and hobbies, from coaching basketball to supporting them in curling, fastball, and the arts. Supportive, yes, humour in a very boisterous manner, definitely! Quick to smile, Ray was ready to laugh, or create the laugh. He was ever ready to listen, always with kind eyes, and words of love and support for family and friends. Ray had a deep love and devotion to his wife and children. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cathie; children Lindy (Trent), Norma (Kevin), Jeremy (Leita), Holly (Martin), Megan (Tyler), Courtney (Kale), and Jed; grandchildren, Lyra, Chantelle, Bryce, Sarah, Jayce, Brendan, Royce, Dahli; in-laws: Don and Sharron Esch; Dan (Denise), Jeff (Suzanne); Chris (Lisa); six nieces, many cousins, and good friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Norman; and mother-in-law Peggy Esch. The Celebration of Ray’s life will be held at Minto United Church on Saturday April 23, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Dan Esch will officiate. Please help us celebrate Ray’s memory by wearing spring colors, or your favourite “Rider” green. Memorial Donations to a trust fund for his two youngest children, Courtney and Jed, may be made to the Ray Bell Trust Fund, c/o Shaunna Taylor at William Grayson, or may be left at BMO, 39 Manitoba St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 0A1, or to Hunger in Moose Jaw, 269 Stadacona St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 1Z4, would be appreciated.
