1932 - 2017
Passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Sept 27, 2017, Shirley Louise Baird in her 85th year. With loving memories she leaves her devoted family, husband Raymond, Children: John (Sheila), Ray Jr. (Goldie), Mary Louise (Pat) Cashin, Paul (Daphne), Trudy (Brian) Murphy, Tony (Mary) and Ramona (David) Randell. Grandchildren: Brittany, Taylor, John-Ray, Jordan, Patrick, Johannah, Maria, Richard, Mikaela, Liam, Christian, Jennifer, Kaitlyn and step-grandchildren Devin, Daniel and Hannah. Sharing fond memories are Albert Colbourne, Carmel Handrigan, Gertrude Baird, Robert (Linda) Baird, and Ken Duncan as well as Darlene King, Mildred Lockyer, Ida Gulliver, Frances Bennett and many more relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents George and Frances Pickering, sisters Mary (Bill) French and Doreen Colbourne. Shirley was a kind, giving mother who loved nursing in the OR and quiet time fishing. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A celebration of life being held at Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel 4 St. Marks Avenue, Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at 11:00 am with Father Robertson officiating. Internment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation in lieu of flowers.
