December 9, 1932 - April 19, 2011

After a short but courageous battle with cancer, Russ Dondaneau passed away in Kamloops at the age of 78 years.

Russ was born on December 9, 1932 in Vancouver, B.C. to parents Joseph & Myrtle Dondaneau. Russ was the youngest of five sons.

In 1954, Russ married Lois Harriet Simonson and lived in Vancouver, B.C. where they had three children, moving in 1968 to make Kamloops their home.

Predeceased by his loving wife Lois and infant daughter Janice, two great grandchildren, Hadley & Kinsleigh, three brothers, Keith, Buster (Clarence) and Vic, sisters-in-law Peggy & Joan and brother-in-law Al.

Russ is survived by his daughter Linda (Steve) and his son Glen, both of Kamloops, six grandchildren Janice, Michael (Shannon), Joseph (Pamela), Stephanie, Wayne (Kathryn) & Shawn (Bev), four great-grandchildren (Korbyn, Hudson, Keaton & Ethan). He also leaves to cherish his memory a brother Norman (Margaret), sisters-in-law Maxine and Margaret (Gordon) and brother-in-law Brian (Jill) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Russ's life will be held in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Sunday, April 24th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Terry Sauder officiating.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Marjorie Willoughby Hospice Home for taking such wonderful compassionate care of their loved one.
