Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre surrounded by his family's love, age 90 years. Predeceased by his parents Lillian (nee Clarke) and William Akerman, brother Bill, sisters Ginevra (Wells), Ann (Morris) and Violet (Brown). His family and friends will miss a wonderful, loving, kind and patient husband, father, brother, and grandfather, his wife Eileen (nee Dawe), son Murray (Penny), daughter Jocelyn (Chuck), grandchildren Kyle, Brock, Hunter and Amanda, sisters Marjorie (Yates) and Phyllis (Janes). Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus. Visitation to take place on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, October 4 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from the Cupids United Church.
