The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, of Ronald Francis Gallant of Miscouche, and formerly of Kensington, P.E.I., aged 57 years. Ronnie was born on Aug. 17, 1951, in Greenvale, P.E.I., to his late parents, Edward and Mabel (nee Arsenault) Gallant. Lovingly remembered by his common law wife, Juliette Squarebriggs, his daughter, Lori ( Darrell ) White of Millet, Alta., and her mother Lillian Ingles of Lower Sackville, N.S. and his special grandson, Zachary White. Survived by his sister Mildred (Junior) Paynter of North Bay, Ont., and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and cousins. Besides his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by brothers, Leroy, Arnold & Francis and half-sister Angie MacDonald. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, for a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Ronnie’s memory to Maritime Asthma & Respiratory Care would be greatly appreciated.
