It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edwin Dean Fisher announce his passing on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Health Science Centre in St. John's at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 44 years Shirley (nee Elgar); son Michael (Katrina), Malaysia; precious grandsons: Aidan and Owen; brothers Robert (Yvonne) Fisher, New Brunswick; sister Edna (Bryant) Goosney, Ontario; sisters-in-law: Beth Fisher, Nova Scotia, Ruby (Charlie) Hynes, Sop's Arm and Yvonne (Ken) Edwards, St. john's; brothers-in-law: Ron (Loretta) Elgar, Mount Pearl and Harold Batt, Lewisporte; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Irene Fisher, brother Gerald Fisher, parents-in-law Charles and Jessie Elgar, sister-in-law June Batt. Friends may visit St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake on Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 12 Noon from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michaels and All Angels Building Fund or St. Michaels Memorial Fund.
