GRAHAM, MARIE “TOOTSIE” - Marie Graham of Château de Champlain, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 21, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born October 7th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Elizabeth (Pyne) Stilwell. Marie worked for K-Mart on the Westside for many years. She was a member of the War Amps of Canada Ladies Group, Lancaster Legion Branch #69 Ladies Auxiliary and Seniors Club. She loved spending time with family and friends, socializing, playing cards, holidays and music. Marie was known to never be without her camera. Marie is survived and will be missed by her daughters Jeanne White (Bob) of Fredericton, NB, Terry Benton (Alan) of Saint John and Kathy Basque (Gary McLeaming) of Barrie, ON; sister Myrtle Thibeau (Alyre) of Chipman; former husband and friend Michael Graham of England; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her first husband Arthur Basque, brother Raymond Stilwell; sister Mona McGinley and two grandsons George “Buddy” Ebbett and Arthur Basque.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, April 22nd from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 25th 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Followed by interment at Cedar Hill Ext Cemetery.
