NICKERSON, Charles Roland – 75, Woods Harbour, passed away October 9, 2017, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born September 28, 1942, he was a son of Etta Nickerson and step-father, Brad Nickerson. Charles lived in Woods Harbour all of his life. He was a lobsterman and also worked the Department of Highways for a number of years. He loved camping, daily trips to Barrington, watching T. V. and hanging out with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy (McGray) Nickerson; daughters, Tanya Blake, Woods Harbour; Suzanne (John) Jermey, South Brookfield; grandchildren, Candice (Johnny) Hill, Brittney (Brandon) Blake, Sarah (Shane) Jermey, Colby Blake; great- grandsons, Hayden, Kerigan, Zachary, Oland; brothers, Mitchell (Wanda); Ricky (Romelda), Wesley (Krista); sisters, Maisie (Wayne) Nickerson; Ann (Clayton) Quinlan; Susan Nickerson; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother, Brian. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Barrington. There was a celebration of Charles’ life on Friday, October 13, at 2 p.m. at the Woods Harbour Community Centre. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
