The family, of Joan Beaton, would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to our family, neighbours and friends for your love and support during the loss of our beloved mother. We thank everyone who sent flowers, food, cards and donations in her memory. Thank you to Rev. Mills and the St. Columba UCW for the service and reception. We thank Peter, Danny and the staff at Dooley’s Funeral Home and Tom MacKenzie for your guidance and professionalism. Thank you to Dr. McKeough, Dr. MacCormick, Dr. Kholsmith, Dr. Knott and the 4th floor nursing staff of the Northside General Hospital for your compassionate care. A very special thank you to the staff of the Northside Community Guest Home, as well as Cape Breton County Homemakers and the VON; you were all so kind and caring to our mother in her final years and we appreciate everything you did for her. Finally, we know Grandma would want to express her love and pride in her grandchildren. Thank you to Logan for the wonderful eulogy on behalf of the grandchildren, to Benjamin and Alexandra for your scripture readings and to Kenzie and all of the grandchildren who were honourary pallbearers. Grandma loved all of you so much.
