Mary Ann MacLeod
MacLEOD, MARY ANN - Mary Ann MacLeod of Quispamsis passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 20th, 2011. Born in Sterlingshire, Scotland in October of 1932 to the late William and Annie (Reynolds) Jennings. Marie and her late husband James arrived in Canada in September 1964 where they settled in Fredericton. Marie is survived by her only son James MacLeod and daughter-in-law Barbara of Quispamsis and two grandsons James Adam (Kelly) of Moncton and Pte. Matthew John (Jody) of Gagetown; five precious great-grandchildren James, Olivia, Landon, Owen and Elijah, family and extended family overseas and two lovable canine great-grandchildren Sam and Baby Girl. In earlier years she was involved in Bowling and Curling and was a volunteer for over 20 years with Meals On Wheels. She loved traveling with James and Barb, visits from her grandchildren, cross word puzzles and keeping up on the news of stars and celebrities.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 26th, 2011 at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Private family interment in Scotland at a later date. Donations in Marie's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
